Will I receive personalized service and attention throughout my project, or are you a huge construction company that simply signs up dozens of customers then outsources the projects?

At Bonsai Builder we are far more concerned with the quality and integrity of the houses we build than the quantity of the houses we build. We purposely keep our company sized as we are so we can build an individual relationship with each client. Our goal is to build the house of your dreams with quality, integrity and attention to both detail and to the customer.

How do your prices compare to other builders?

We’re competitive in our pricing, especially when compared to other quality builders. Most of our clients are amazed at the level of finish-out we deliver for the money. And, our process and quality controls are unmatched. However, if you’re looking for the low bidder regardless of quality, we prefer not to be on your bid list. Some of the work we see today makes us cringe, and we won’t compromise quality for cost.

Can we use a material supplier or sub-contractor of our choice?

When it comes to material suppliers, we are very flexible. We will do our best to work with any vendor you choose. However, when it comes to our in-house craftsmen and subcontractors, we are very staunch in our belief that ours are the best in the business, and we won’t sacrifice the quality of their work to use someone else. Our subcontractors have been carefully screened and are more like artisans than traditional laborers on a jobsite. They take great pride in their workmanship. We use only properly licensed and insured electricians, plumbers, and other sub-contractors and business partners. In addition, because we use primarily the same subcontractors and in-house craftsmen on all our jobs, we get a consistent quality that is important to uphold the Bonsai Builder name.

Where do you build? Is my property located in your service area?

We have served clients in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Monte Sereno, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and other communities in these areas. Call our office to determine whether your property is located in our service area.

We don't have architectural plans for our project yet. Can you recommend an architect?
